Night after night, we sit here at our TVs and watch passively as millions of gallons of oil rushes out of a pipe under the ocean. We watch as the pumped mud approach just turns the oil brown. We watch as BP’s super Skil saw cuts off part of the pipe and makes a situation worse. We watch as bedraggled oily birds struggle and die on the befouled beaches. We watch as our black hole in the Gulf of Mexico grows ever bigger.
